Tucson

Tucson is a relaxed, dependable gentleman in the barn who comes alive when the work becomes more interesting. A knowledgeable dressage horse, he can teach riders through Third Level and especially shines in lateral work. He knows his job in the show ring, where his fabulous square halts are always a highlight.

Tucson is safe and forgiving enough to adjust to very new riders, but he truly appreciates an experienced rider who uses quiet, correct aids. He teaches riders to become subtle, effective, and thoughtful rather than relying on strength.

His specialty is dressage. Tucson has little interest in pole work and does not jump, but he enjoys challenging flatwork and working with riders who understand how to ask correctly. Around the barn, he is especially devoted to his best friend, Gunner.
