Celebrate your child’s birthday with a fun and memorable barn experience at Swan River Stables. Our birthday parties are designed for horse-loving kids who want to spend time around the barn, meet the horses, and enjoy a unique celebration with friends and family.
Parties may include age-appropriate horse interaction, grooming, barn activities, photo opportunities, and time to celebrate together in a relaxed stable setting.

Pony Ride Party
$250 | 90 minutes | Up to 6 children
A simple birthday experience geared for younger horse lovers. Includes horse/pony rides for each child, a horse or pony meet-and-greet, simple grooming time, and photo opportunities.
Classic Barn Birthday
$375 | 2 hours | Up to 10 children
Our most popular birthday option. Includes horse/pony rides for each child, hands-on grooming, a barn activity, photo opportunities, and time for cake, snacks, or gifts in a designated party area.
Additional children may be added with approval for $20 per child. Additional horse/pony time or an extra horse may be available for an added fee, depending on staff, schedule, and horse availability.
Good to Know
Working Barn Environment
Swan River is a working horse barn, not a traditional party venue. Guests should expect a real stable environment with dirt, dust, hay, horses, and normal barn activity.

Weather & Indoor Space
Because parties take place at a facility with an insulated indoor arena, most parties can continue during rain, cold, or typical Minnesota weather. Activities may be adjusted for safety, but cancellations are rare unless severe weather or unsafe conditions occur.

Waivers Required
All party guests, including adults and children who are not riding, must have a Swan River liability waiver completed before attending. The party host is responsible for sharing waiver information with guests before the event.

What to Wear
All guests should wear closed-toed shoes and weather-appropriate barn clothes. Boots are best when available. Sandals, Crocs, and open-toed shoes are not appropriate around horses.
